JMH services provides a statutory inspection of lifting equipment and an onsite load testing and inspection service.
All plant machinery including construction plant machinery along with lifting equipment and lifting accessories are required by law to have a GA1 Certificate and should be regularly GA1 tested to maintain proper and safe working order. Employers are required to maintain a safe working environment for their employees.
Statutory inspection of lifting equipment includes:-
- Chain inspection
- Sling inspection
- Shackle inspection
- Fall arrest equipment inspection
- Inspection of garage lifts etc.
We approve certification in accordance with statutory legislation. We meet the Irish standards of “The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations of 2007” and provide a GA1 form of approval on mobile plant and machinery.
A GA1 certificate or Thorough Examination Report is valid for 12 months or 6 months in the case of elevated platforms and scissor lifts.
We also certify to the standard of Northern Ireland’s regulations; “Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)” and “Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)” LOLER requires that “lifting equipment must be of adequate strength and stability. This adds to general obligations under PUWER regarding the suitability of work equipment”
Our GA1 certificates can be printed and presented on site.
We also provide Quarry Brake testing equipment, complete with printer or software (if required).
Our GA1 inspection service is available in the following locations: Monaghan, Cavan Louth, Meath, Leinster, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone & Armagh.
